Metcalfe Catering Equipment is a fourth generation family run business and was established in 1928 by the Great Grandfather of our present Managing Director and has grown to become one of the premier manufacturers and suppliers of commercial food preparation equipment in the UK.
The EPC is a heavy duty, fast machine for producing potato chips (French fries). This machine can easily be dismantled for cleaning and as the motor and gearbox are greasepacked and sealed there is virtually no maintenance required. Finished in painted or stainless steel with robust non-corrosive aluminium castings. Fully guarded to comply with all Safety Regulations including the Health & Safety at Work Act. The machine illustrated is a bench model but a mobile trolley can also be supplied. The machine is supplied with one set of cutters but additional cutters for different chip sizes and potato scollops are available.

The detachable block range of hand operated potato chippers have interchangeable upper blocks and lower knife frames. Blocks and knife frames are available for producing 8mm (5/16”), 10mm (3/8”), 12.5mm (1/2”) or 15mm (5/8”) chips. Also available is a block and frame potato wedger which will cut a whole potato into 8 wedge shaped pieces.

The bench mounting stand for the hand chipper is the latest accessory to our range. The stand allows the hand chipper to be easily operated from a bench or other work surface without the need for the chipper to be bolted down accordingly.
Available in painted or stainless steel finish.
